Kelly Corsino
Singer, Songwriter, and Student of Life
Kelly’s music is a celebration of awakening. Her work is a masterful combination of deep spiritual messages that touch the heart and lift the soul….set to her fresh and often surprising music style. Her lyrics borrow from ancient wisdom traditions as well as new thought teachers…leading her listeners to a heartfelt experience of Truth. Her music has the soulful feel of late 60’s upbeat R&B, with a little Annie Lennox and Peter Gabriel mixed in.
As a gifted vocalist, Kelly has the versatility to sing pure, sweet angel… or to powerfully belt out a tune to rock your core, with mastery akin to Aretha Franklin. It should come as no surprise that Kelly has been honored with two LA Music Awards: one for Best Female Vocalist and another for Best New Artist.
It was at age seven that Kelly began her career as a professional musician, when she joined the family band. Eventually she was led to film and TV doing commercials and even an episode of The Waltons! However, it has always been her music that has guided her along the way, and she has been a tour de force when it comes to innovating music styles; from experimental rock to progressive country.
As a student of life, Kelly began studying Shin Buddhism with Reverend Marvin Hirada at the Orange County Buddhist Temple in 1997, and in 2005 she found the teachings of Ernest Holmes and the Science of Mind.
Inspired by her Spiritual practice and the music of such powerhouse Spiritual artists as Rickie Byers-Beckwith, she began writing music in the New Thought genre with her own unique style. As a regular singer at her Spiritual community, Namaste Center for Spiritual Living in Long Beach CA and the teachings of Senior Minister Reverend Kristin Hawkins, Kelly has found a place to call home.
Her first collection of New Thought Music entitled, “Within” is bursting with joy, guaranteed to get your feet tapping… and may even make you jump up and dance!
