Well, I have taken a little more than a week to process all that I experienced at this amazing event.

On Friday the 13th ooooooo good auspicious date huh?  I boarded a plane bound for Orlando FL. My usual m.o. of traveling light was completely shot when I was home pacing back and forth in front of my closet looking at my wardrobe thinking, “ok, so I’m performing all three nights and I want to be comfortable during my down time (which by the way, there was NO down time).  These packing considerations along with the gear I needed to bring and I was officially packing like a typical woman… eeeek!

I hadn’t gotten much sleep in the days prior to leaving what with wrapping up tons to do here in town, so I was hoping to sleep on the plane; twas not to be!  I kept being pulled to rehearse the songs of the artists who had asked me to sing with them on their songs like Faith Rivera, Karen Drucker, Claudian Carawan and Jennifer Ferren.  So I put on my head phones and began wood-shedding.  It only took a few minutes before my honey, John Rozenberg nudged me and said, “you DO realize that you are using your outside voice right now right?”  Again… eeeek!

By the time we landed and got to the hotel where we were staying and the event would take place, I was ripping down the halls to find the main ballroom where rehearsal was already underway!

I flung my suitcase off to the side and jumped up on the stage just in time to start singing my part for Jennifer’s song, “Who I Am.”  From there, it’s kind of a blur as we went from her’s to Faith’s kickin pop song “Let It Out!” and then I got a real thrill when Jack Fowler came up and asked me to sing with him on his song, “We Come Together.”  Ooooo what a treat; his voice is so yummy and he is such a genuinely SWEET man ♥

Off to the side of the ballroom, I could see David Ault and Ty Andrews; both of whom I had yet to meet, smiling and nodding.  I was in HEAVEN!!

When dinner time came, Nolan Hee and his fabu wife, the soulful lady herself Faith Rivera called out to me and John and had us come join them for dinner.  They even had to change tables to make room for us which really confused the heck outta the poor server who already had their order in!

It was lovely to finally get to spend some quality time with these two, gorgeous beings of light and just to make it even better was the opportunity to meet Terra Bundance.  This girl was an instant hit for me!  We were laughing so hard at one point she even snorted!!  Terra has a tremendous gift of alchemy with her creations in chocolates infused with essential oils and other consciousness raising organics.  Her company is Never The Same Chocolate

The topper for this already AWESOME day was… THE PAJAMA JAMS!!  Empower is the organization that puts on the Posi Awards and they arranged for several hotel rooms to be given over to 20 minute sets for the artists.  Each room hosted 3-4 performers.

Now, I KNOW I am biased, but I think my room was the BEST!!!  We started out with Peace Troubadour Cecelia St. King.  She lived up to her moniker with songs that folks could unite in voice, next up was yours truly!!  I had so much fun singing in my monkey pajamas and sock monkey cap.  I think I may have to incorporate that wardrobe change into some portion of a concert!  After me was Faith Rivera who took us from her rockin diva cut “Let It Out!” to a tender lullaby which she sang to her new baby boy Kai while her hubby Nolan held him; beyond sweet.  Last up was kind of a shared set between mega talents Karen Drucker and David Ault.  They have known each other for years and it shows.  They just have that obvious friendship bond and playfulness together that is SO much fun to watch!  It is not any mystery why both of them are so highly regarded and adored by fans of the Positive Music genre and musicians alike.

By the time John and I got back to our room, I was pooped.  I am so grateful for this, my first day at the Posi Awards, and the biggest Blessing of all is to be able to share it with John.  He is my rock and my Love ♥
